Debris Gasketing

EPDM gasket is mechanically fastened to the perimeter of the frame to reduce the amount of dirt and debris that enters the drainage channel (sectional view of frame shown). Gasket reduces required maintenance and is ideal for high traffic sidewalk areas. (Available on Type J-AL and J-AL H20 doors only). Note: Doors can be ordered with both debris and an odor control gasket options.

Type FR-Fire Rated Floor Door

Maintains the fire rating of a 2-hour floor ceiling assembly where access is required between building floors. Type PCM-Precast Vault Door

Type PCM & PDCM single and double leaf access doors (single leaf shown) incorporate several innovative features which reduce the amount of labor required to cast the door into a concrete vault. To simplify installation on a standard concrete vault form, doors are designed with a 6" (152mm) high frame (other frame depths available) and have no vertical projections below the frame. Doors are constructed of aluminum and feature a peel off covering to protect the door finish during the pouring process.

Barracuda Intruder Defense System-Model DCS

The Barracuda intruder defense system DCS is designed to be used with DSO models for an additional level of security. It is an ideal intruder defense system for scissor action doors. The product can also be used as a lockout/tagout device to secure doors while maintenance is being performed in a building. Simply slide the device over the door closer arm to prevent the scissor action.

Type J-AL-Channel Frame-300 PSF

Constructed with a channel frame for use in exterior applications or in those situations where there is concern of water or other liquids entering the access opening. Type J-AL floor access doors feature aluminum construction, type 316 stainless steel hardware, and engineered lift assistance for easy one-hand operation. Available in a number of standard single leaf and double leaf (Type JD-AL) sizes and special sizes can be specified to meet unique access requirements.

Type JD-Transit System Emergency Evacuation Doors

Type JD and JD-AL emergency evacuation doors are designed to provide egress from underground rapid transit system platforms and tunnels in emergency situations. Doors are designed with stainless steel panic hardware and compression spring operators for ease of operation. Other important features include H-20 reinforcing, handrails, custom signage and a slip-resistant cover finish.

Motorized Operation

All BILCO commercial products can be supplied with electric motor operation to open and close covers with the push of a button. Motor operation provides a convenient means of ventilating work areas in manufacturing facilities. Product is supplied with built-in motor operator, push button control station (shown) and wiring diagram.

Type Q-Angle Frame

Generally for interior use or exterior applications where water or liquid infiltration into the access opening is not a concern. Type Q floor access doors feature steel construction, 300 PSF reinforcing for pedestrian applications, and engineered lift assistance for easy one-hand operation. Available in a number of standard single leaf sizes and special sizes can be specified to meet unique access requirements. Type Q doors are available in stainless steel construction for highly corrosive environments.

Type 316 Stainless Steel Hardware

For installation in highly corrosive environments or when prolonged exposure to hot water or steam is anticipated, all BILCO products are available with Type 316 stainless steel hardware throughout (standard on type J-AL floor doors). Included are all parts of the latch and lifting mechanism assemblies; hold-open and guide arm and guides; and all brackets, hinges, pins and fasteners.

Type SV-Automatic Smoke Vent

Automatic smoke vents aid Firefighters in bringing a fire under control by removing smoke, heat and gasses from a burning building. Type SV single leaf smoke vents are ideal for applications requiring smaller vent areas, such as elevator shafts or stair wells. Available in galvanized steel or aluminum construction and in a number of standard sizes. Polycarbonate dome covers are also available for natural daylighting.

Thermally Broken Roof Hatch

Thermally broken roof hatches feature R-20+ insulation and a frame and cover design that minimizes heat transfer between interior and exterior metal surfaces. The result is a product that resists harmful condensation and provides superior energy efficiency. Stair Stringers for Basement Areaway

Stair stringers sizes are available for all BILCO Basement Doors sizes. Constructed of heavy galvanized steel, BILCO stair stringers for basement areaways are an economical and more durable alternative to wood stair stringers for your basement areaway.

Barracuda Intruder Defense System-Model DCS

The Barracuda intruder defense system DCS is designed to be used with DSO models for an additional level of security. It is an ideal intruder defense system for scissor action doors. The product can also be used as a lockout/tagout device to secure doors while maintenance is being performed in a building. Simply slide the device over the door closer arm to prevent the scissor action.

Barracuda Intruder Defense System-Model DSI

The Barracuda Intruder Defense System DSI is the ideal intruder defense system for inward swinging door installations. The DSI model locks inward swinging vertical doors down in a matter of seconds. Simply place the device on the floor and slide the metal plates under the door. Pushing outward on the handles engages the plates to the exterior door jamb and the device is securely locked in place by simply inserting a pin.

Lock Option-Recessed Padlock Hasp

All BILCO floor doors can be supplied with a Recessed Padlock Hasp lock when specified. Padlock Hasps feature a flushed hinged lid and fully welded receptacle that is designed to receive a standard padlock (padlock not supplied).

Type HLC-High Load Capacity

The Type HLC is specially designed for extreme loading conditions generated by vehicles such as large aircraft, heavy equipment and forklift trucks. Doors are constructed of steel and covers are reinforced for a 200 psi + 30% impact live load.

Vents are available in aluminum construction and in a number of UL-Listed standard sizes.

Manual Winch Operation

Roof hatches and automatic smoke vents can be supplied with manual winch operation to open and close covers remotely. Winch operation provides a convenient means of ventilating work areas in manufacturing facilities and is a less expensive alternative to electric motor operation. Product is supplied with manual winch and wall mounting bracket (cable and additional pulleys can be supplied at additional cost).
